News that go slipping and land on Kachchativu Monday, September 15, 2008
What’s in Kachchativu? An old, lonely Roman Catholic Church standing in a little barren island between India and Sri Lanka. A church that has no priest and an island with no inhabitants in it, surrounded by waters with an abundance of prawns. An empty island fought for by the Tamil Nadu politicians to gain ownership despite an agreement signed by the two governments that gave Sri Lanka the ownership in 1974. Kachchativu was a high priority issue for the JVP for they, as usual, see an Indian conspiracy gaining momentum to snatch Kachchativu again and said so in parliament last Tuesday. FM Bogollagama making a statement stood firm to say, SL would never give the island to India. Now the big issue over this tiny island would have to wait till either Jayalalitha gets a ruling from Tamil Nadu Courts on Kachchativu, or till the JVP take to the streets around Lipton Circle in Colombo, to defeat the Indian conspiracy.
“Hey….” said Azadek. “Why isn’t the JVP protesting Indian presence in the Wanni Security Head Quarters in Vavuniya?” Two Indian radar operators were injured when Tamil Tigers made a daring combined ground and air attack on the sprawling joint command complex in Vavuniya on Tuesday early morning. The two Indians were air lifted to Colombo for emergency treatment. The SL government had gone mum on the Indian presence inside the highly sensitive security complex in Vavuniya and so had the Indian authorities. The two governments may have thought two Indians is no big deal to talk about. But why is the JVP silent, pondered Azadek. “When a tiny barren island is good enough to spoken in parliament?” Two Indians may not be worth the “koththamalli” they protested against, during the mayhem they created in very late 80’s. The Real Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna - by Fredrica Janz Saturday, October 04, 2008 (539 reads)

Watching the recent performance of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna there is but one overwhelming factor that emerges. And that is the JVP's finesse, to lie.
Spurred by an un-quenching thirst for power and the undeniable fact that it can never independently assume the trappings of complete power, the JVP has but only one end result to its deadly game of cat and mouse. And that is to win.
Gold diggers and murderers forsooth, the JVP is easily the most corrupt, hypocritical party that has walked the corridors of Sri Lanka’s parliament. Split by envy and hatred even against each other, the party is governed by humans that can be described in one word – evil.
